Spent a day at a new med spa in Denver and noticed something weird about their backbar
I went to check out this new place that opened near Colfax last week, and every single esthetician had the same brand of toner and moisturizer sitting out. Like, not even a single different product for different skin types. Does your boss make you use one line for everyone too or is this just me?

Well now that's interesting because it's usually the opposite problem where every esthetician has their own favorite brands and it looks like a flea market back there. Sounds like either the owner got a really good deal on a bulk order from one company or they're pushing whatever gives them the best profit margins regardless of what actually works for different skin types. I'd be a little worried about a place that treats everyone's face like it's the same thing.

Take a closer look at what brands they're actually using though. You might be surprised to find they're stocking something like those multi-purpose medical grade ointments that clinics use - the ones that come in a giant tub and work fine for most basic stuff but aren't exactly luxury spa products. It's almost like they're running a medical office more than a spa, you know? I've walked into places that looked sterile and boring on the shelves but actually had way better results because they were using clinical grade stuff that doesn't have fancy packaging or markups. Makes you wonder if the complaints about limited selection are really about the products themselves or just the vibe of the place. So maybe the real question isn't about choices but about whether anyone's actually unhappy with the results they're getting.

Multi-purpose medical grade ointments that come in a giant tub" - that actually gave me pause. I've never seen a spa that didn't have at least five different fancy serums lined up on a shelf, so the idea of a big tub of one thing is almost hard to picture. But you're probably right, if the results are there maybe the packaging really doesn't matter.
