My cooler gave out halfway through a wedding delivery in July heat
I was dropping off the centerpieces for a big outdoor wedding in Springfield last Saturday, and the plug on my van's cooler just stopped working. It was 95 degrees, and I had about $400 worth of hydrangeas and roses in there starting to wilt. I ended up parking in the shade and running the AC on full blast for 20 minutes while I unloaded everything as fast as I could. What do you all do for backup cooling when you're on a long delivery route?

That sounds like a total nightmare with the heat and the flowers. I always keep a couple of those big frozen gel packs in a separate cooler just in case. They've saved me a few times when my truck's fridge acted up.

My cousin who does catering swears by those big insulated coolers with the gel packs. She says they hold temp for hours even in a trunk.

My old Honda's AC died last summer, so I keep a giant cooler with ice packs now too.
