My old boss told me to skip the floral foam for a big wedding arch

She said it would hold up fine with just chicken wire and zip ties, but halfway through the setup, a whole section drooped. Had to scramble to add foam blocks anyway. Anyone got a better method for a 10-foot arch that won't sag?

Yeah, that's the worst... but what kind of flowers were you using? Heavy hydrangeas or roses will pull down chicken wire every time, but lighter stuff like baby's breath might have been okay. Did you double up the wire layers or just use a single sheet?

Classic case of old boss advice coming back to haunt you. "It'll hold," they say, right up until your arch looks like a sad banana. Should've known better than to trust zip ties against gravity and a pile of peonies. Next time, maybe just build the thing out of concrete and regret.
