inUnpopular opinion: I swore by my old stitcher until a buddy showed me a hand sewing trick
Hand sewing might seem old school, but it's reliable when tech fails. Like during a blackout, you can't plug in a stitcher. Plus, it gives you a feel for the fabric that machines don't. I've fixed buttons and seams by hand that would've been messy with a machine. So yeah, it's a big deal for keeping things working no matter what.

inSetting clear limits with my in-laws saved my mental health
Those weekly family dinners sound like a good compromise. Did you have to set any rules about how long visits last, or is it open-ended once they're there? I found with my own in-laws that even with notice, they'd overstay their welcome until we talked about end times. It took a few tries to get it right, but now we all know when to wrap up.

inNoticed a ton of trail reroutes popping up in my area after heavy rains. Some hikers say it's for safety, others think it ruins the original challenge. Where do you stand?
Ah man, safety first every time. A washed-out trail isn't a challenge, it's a hazard.
