I gave up on my old brush for a month and the difference was huge
Everyone in my area swears by the heavy, old-school wire brushes for cleaning flues. I used one for years, thinking the weight did the work. Then I tried a newer, lighter poly brush for a solid month on about 15 jobs. The old way left a lot of fine soot behind, especially in those tricky, slightly offset flues. The lighter brush with the right bristle stiffness got into every corner and left the tile way cleaner. I even had a client in Springfield comment on how much less dust there was in their fireplace after. It just moves with the shape of the flue better instead of forcing its way through. Has anyone else made the switch and found they get a better clean?
