I spent 3 weeks just trying to find the right contact email for a single niche blog, only to get an auto-reply saying they weren't accepting pitches.

Oh man, that's the worst. I once spent a full day tracking down what I thought was the perfect editor's email, only to find out the address was for their company's office manager from like 2018. The whole "quick outreach" thing is such a trap. It's a full-time detective job before you even write a word.

Used to think finding contacts was just busy work until I wasted three hours on a dead end lead. Now I see that detective phase as the most important part, not just a step you rush through. Getting it wrong means your whole pitch goes nowhere no matter how good it is. That time you spend checking is what actually makes outreach quick in the long run.
