My cordless clipper battery gave out mid-fade yesterday
It was right in the middle of a tight skin fade, about 2:30 PM. The clipper just died, no warning. I had to grab my old corded pair to finish the cut, but the switch messed up my flow. This was a model I bought just over a year ago, so it's pretty frustrating. Has anyone found a reliable brand for cordless clippers that last longer than that?

My neighbor's clippers died mid-cut on his dog once.

Oh man, that is the absolute worst feeling! The same exact thing happened to me with a pair that just quit after about 14 months. It's so frustrating when you're in a rhythm and everything just stops. I ended up switching to a different brand that my barber friend swears by, and it's been solid for over two years now. You really start to question all the reviews when your own gear fails like that. Hopefully you can find a pair that doesn't give up on you mid-cut!

Yeah, that "quit after about 14 months" thing is brutal. My buddy had his just die right before a big family photo shoot, total panic. What brand did you end up switching to, @the_margaret?

My whole view on "you get what you pay for" changed after my own clippers died at 13 months, totally agree with @haydenbutler on how brutal that timing is. What brand did your barber friend recommend, @the_margaret?
