inPro tip: A simple change to my pipe bevel prep cut my weld time in half
I've found the angle of your grind matters just as much as the land size. A 10 degree angle on the bevel with that 3/32 land gives a wider shelf for the rod to rest on before the feather edge. It stops that roll-in feeling.

inA customer at my shop in Tulsa taught me a trick for old TV capacitors
That trick works on old car radio boards too.

inTried a cheap boning knife from a hardware store versus my Victorinox, the difference in breaking down a side of pork was huge.
Totally see that everywhere now. It's like companies make stuff to break on purpose so you buy more. My can opener lasted ten years, the new one broke in three months. Feels like a scam.

inI thought those 'cold email' courses were a total waste of money for getting freelance clients.
How wrong was I about just asking for referrals? I thought it felt needy and pushy. Then I tried sending a simple email to past clients after a project wrapped up, just asking if they knew anyone else who might need similar help. Got three solid leads from one email. It costs nothing and feels way more natural than cold outreach.
