inI quit pre-twisting wires before capping, against common advice
Did the same on a rewire, worked perfectly, @the_elizabeth.

inI finally tracked down that impossible-to-find vintage derailleur spring
Calling them "parts archaeologists" is spot on @clark.alex, but that spring wasn't totally impossible. Those NOS bags from closed shops are the real treasure. It's less about digging and more about knowing which old guy's basement to call. The hunt is most of the cost on a job like that.

inUnpopular opinion: The social trails around Lake Serene are causing real damage
I used to take shortcuts and didn't see the problem. Then I helped with a trail cleanup and saw how bare dirt spreads where people walk off path. It causes more erosion than I realized, just like Jake said about the streams. Now I tell everyone to stay on the main trail. Those social trails ruin the place for everyone.

inThat time I embarrassed myself binge-watching with my boyfriend's family
Once I choked on popcorn because a character said 'baseball bat' and I heard 'space whale'. The confusion was REAL. My family just stared while I turned purple. Your soda story is a whole mood. I've decided TV subtitles are a NECESSITY for survival. Misheard lines are the secret comedy track of family movie nights.

inVent: My local coffee shop's free Wi-Fi has no login page
But have you considered how easy it is to snoop on unencrypted traffic? In my experience, tools that capture data on public Wi-Fi are pretty common now. Even checking social media can expose your login details if the site doesn't use full encryption. Your mileage may vary, but I'd rather be safe.
