Found out that soaking chicken in salt water before air frying makes it juicy, why don't more recipes mention this?

My chicken was so dry last week it could have doubled as a gym chalk substitute, and now I know why. Who actually remembers to start dinner preparations before lunch the same day? The time commitment is the real killer, but even a quick 30-minute soak in salty water makes a huge difference. Is my fridge ever not too full for a giant container of chicken water though?

My old sketchbook of monster hybrids feels tame next to today's gene drives.

From fantasy to fact' is wild, I read about real spider-goat experiments lately, what's next on your radar?

Ditched fan cooling for my bronze work and saw a big drop in scrap

Burying pieces in sand? What kind of magic are we expecting here? It sounds like something from a pirate movie, not real life. Do people really think stuff gets better by hiding it in the ground? I've tried similar things before, and all I got was a rusty mess. Maybe those old-timers had too much time on their hands, or they just liked digging holes.

Finding out the grocery store scans faces with AI and doesn't tell anyone

Feel exactly the same way about this face scanning mess. My local store started doing it last year, and I only knew because a friend sent me a link. I was so mad I tried to switch stores, but like @john_jenkins said, the next one is way farther and I keep going back out of habit. It's frustrating because you want to take a stand, but life gets in the way sometimes. Now every time I shop, I wonder what they're doing with my face data, and it creeps me out. We should not have to deal with this sneaky stuff when we're just buying groceries.
