inFinding my old glass jacks during a shop cleanup brought back memories
Last year I found my old jacks covered in dust in my dad's shed. Honestly, I looked at them and just saw some rusty tools. @jessica540 talked about forced simplicity, but sometimes you just had worse stuff. Tbh, we make too big a deal out of the struggle. Those old jacks are special because of the memories, not because they were better. Ngl, having a full rack now lets me do way more without all the extra work.

inHot take: Sketching my own map routes made backpacking way better
Back on a coastal hike, my phone died from the salt spray, but my mate's waterproof map saved us. @drew827 has a point about tech, but it's funny how old-school stuff often pulls through.

inVent: My office job killed my houseplants from neglect
Watched my friend's spider plant slowly die in her windowless office. It went from full and green to thin and brown over a few months. The overhead lights did nothing, and she kept forgetting to water it on time. She finally brought it home, but only a couple sad strands were left. Honestly, it made her so upset she didn't buy another plant for a year. Just shows how those desk jobs can wreck your plants without real sun.
