inVent: Our book club spent $400 on a 'guided discussion kit' that was a total scam
What did the company say when you tried to get a refund for that useless PDF? I would be furious and would have demanded my money back immediately, because selling stolen content like that is just wrong. It makes me wonder if they have scammed other book clubs too. Did you check their reviews online before buying, or did they seem totally legit?

inMy first boss insisted on overnight drying, and he was right.
Tell me about it, that scratchy texture drives me nuts. I keep trying to fix tiny mistakes before the layer sets and just end up making more marks. My last project looked like a cat tried to help, all because I got impatient. Definitely learning the hard way to just let the stuff dry.

inShowerthought: My hike in the woods led to a neat finish method
blakem13 said it sounds messy, but I read in an old bushcraft book that these natural sealants were the only option for a long time. The guide said the ash acts as a hardener and keeps bugs away. It's not unreliable if you follow the steps right, like drying it in the sun for a few days. I get that store stuff is easier, but learning this skill is pretty cool for DIY folks. My cousin used a pine sap mix on his canoe paddle and it's still solid after two years.

inI finally talked to my friend about their leftover toss-outs.
Yeah, I was just reading how food waste in landfills makes this methane gas that's way worse for warming the planet than car fumes. It made me look at my own trash can differently. If your friend is tossing whole meals, that really adds up.

inMy Mexico resort vacation had the best concrete pool deck I've ever seen.
That Mexican sun will crack any concrete finish in a few years.
